GIRLS WIN !! DIV 4 STATE CHAMPS!!!

On behalf of the girls basketball team, coaches, and school administration I would like to thank everyone who supported the team this season. The girls won a memorable 44-36 overtime battle over Manchester in the Garden yesterday to capture the first Girls Basketball State Championship in twenty years for the Lady Skippers.

The entire Cohasset Community stepped up as we filled 11 fan busses, presold over 800 tickets, and filled our side of the Garden with well over 1000 fans (for a Town of 7000 on a Tuesday afternoon that's pretty impressive). An event like yesterday can not be pulled off without the support of an entire community. If I missed anyone with this email please forward it to everyone on your list that I do not have on mine. To the people who helped sell tickets (Ed Leary, Ed Leonard, Peggy Lewis and Ellen Maher) to the teachers, event staff, custodians, bus drivers and administrators who chaperoned and drove busses, helped with game management and helped organize a pep rally after the game, to the basketball boosters and parents who wallpapered the town with signs, recorded the moments on video and cameras, and supported the program all year long, to the police and fire departments who escorted our team through town yesterday and helped keep our game site safe this season, and most importantly to our student body and community fans who created a true SUPER FAN environment throughout this season and especially yesterday the girls basketball team, the coaches and I thank you.

General Lost and Found

Any items left behind or lost during recreation or travel basketball at any of the Cohasset Schools can be claimed through the schools Lost and Found and are subject to each schools Lost and Found policy. Contact the school where the item was lost/left for recovery. The Cohasset Basketball Boosters Club is not responsible for any articles left behind.

DEER HILL PARKING CONCERNS

The Cohasset Police and Fire Departments have issued warnings about parking at the Deer Hill. The area next to the sidewalk in the back parking lot is a clearly marked Fire Lane. Anyone parking there will be towed or ticketed. Also there is no parking along the service road that runs behind the back parking lot. Town and school vehicles need open access to that road. There is PLENTY of parking in the front of Deer Hill, with legal spaces. Please park only in legitimate parking spots. The side door on the front right of Deer Hill is open for easy access to the Gym. Please comply and park legally at all of our schools. Thank you.

High School Parking Alert !

Please comply with school rules and the law by not parking in the circular driveway at the high school nor along the right hand sidewalk. Both areas are clearly marked as "NO PARKING" areas. There are plenty of places to park in legal parking spots. The circle and main driveway NEED to stay clear for emergency vehicles or school buses.
The Police WILL be called and people will be ticketed for illegal parking. Thank you.

Recreation Team Rosters Listed ~ Check for changes

All recreation teams are now listed. Please doublecheck your child's team and double check the schedule. There have been some small changes made in the last 48 hours.

Basketballs

Our participants are encouraged to bring their own basketballs to Recreation Hoop. Please clearly mark your basketball with permanant marker with your name. Periodically rewrite your name on your basketball throughout the season. There are different ball sizes depending on your age group. Good Sport can assist in finding the right basketball for you. Here are our guidelines;

Grade 1 Level I 26"
Grades 2/3 Level II 27.5"
Grades 4/5 Level III 28.5"
Girls Gr 6/7/8 Level IV 28.5"
Boys Gr 6/7/8 Level IV 30"
