Travel Basketball

The Cohasset Basketball Boosters Club supports and manages the boys and girls Travel Basketball program. Boys in grades 6-7-8 compete in the Patriot League and girls in grades 5-6-7-8 compete in the South Shore League. 5th grade boys compete in the Abington Stars League which has all of the games at the gymnasium at the former Naval Air Base in Weymouth.

Most teams will practice 1-2 nights per week and all games are on the weekend. The games begin in mid to late November and run through mid March with playoffs and championship games.

This program is vitally important since the loss of Middle School sports in Cohasset. The CBBC will support two teams at each grade level where we have interest and commitment.

Playing Travel Basketball does not preclude any child from playing in our Recreation Basketball Program. Many children opt to play in both. It is a personal decision that each family should make on their own.
