About the Bosters
The Cohasset Basketball Boosters Club, or the CBBC to friends and family, is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the game of basketball and the youth of Cohasset.
The CBBC participates in all basketball activity including the Youth Basketball programs, the travel leagues and the JV & Varsity programs at Cohasset Middle High School. CBBC members volunteer their time and organizational skills to ensure that the youth of Cohasset have the best opportunities to learn, play and love basketball.
Activities of the CBBC include but are not limited to:
- Ongoing organization of the town's Youth Basketball program
- Organization and implementation of Cohasset Travel Basketball Handbook for
6th, 7th and 8th grade travel leagues - Creation of the town wide basketball website; www.cohassetbasketball.com
- financial assistance in procuring new Varsity team uniforms
- funding of new basketball hoops at the library
- development of coaching clinics for Youth league and travel league coaches
- supplying and staffing the concession stand at the CMHS
- provide scholarships to graduating senior basketball players
- fund overnight Varsity tournament trips
The goal of the CBBC is to support all of the town's basketball programs; to provide an environment for all of Cohasset's youths to develop their skills and competitive ability; to ensure that all of Cohasset's basketball programs create a positive environment of sportsmanship and teamwork.
